One way to scare friends while camping is to tell them a spooky story around the campfire, setting the mood with dim lighting and eerie sound effects. Another way is to plan a surprise visit from a local legend or ghost story character, with the help of a willing participant. You could also create a fake animal or monster sighting by using props and special effects to make it seem realistic. Just be sure to consider your friends' comfort levels and boundaries when planning your scare tactics. **
